VITICULTURE:
The vineyards for this wine are situated in Paardeberg region. Granite soils provide freshness to the wine while shale soils contribute to good structure that results in a full lengthy mouthfeel.

The grapes were harvested at optimum ripeness, followed by de-stemming, crushing and cold soaking for 24 hours. Fermentation lasted 14 days after which the wine went through malolactic fermentation to ensure a softening of compounds resulting in an elegant smoothness on the palate. Gentle wood maturation for 12 months in second fill French oak barrels adds complexity and elegance to this wine.
